Sam made her way over to one of the overpass's walls. She sat down on what was probably technically a sidewalk and accepted the shade provided against the heat of the early spring sun.
Divine Inspiration?
Last she checked, there was no god. Not even a little bit of a god. Everything even the littlest bit magic anyone had ever put up in history had turned out to be lies, wishful thinking, or both. Suddenly she's getting magic boxes telling her she's inspired some random woman to lay the hurt on some thief from ten feet away?
On top of that, this noise is happening when the entire city is dissolving into chaos as every car stalls and airplanes are falling from the sky and... just checking, yep, cell phones don't work.
Something beyond messed up is going on.
She decided.
I'm not going to work today.
With a firm, deep breath, Sam stood up.
Whoops.
Whoopsy goddamn Daisy.
Uhoh to the third power.
Just this section of overpass, this little section of one street in a small city, was going insane.
Random woman and evil Santa weren't the only altercations happening. Rush hour is always a bad time, and an inexplicable disaster shutting everything down?
People looked mad. They sounded mad. They weren't.
People were scared.
PERCEPTION +1
Sam staggered through the crowd.

Within moments, she was exhausted, suffering a massive migraine. The crowd around her eased away from one another, no longer looking to attack each other in their fear and confusion, but Sam was left to stumble to the wall on the opposite side of the overpass, having barely managed to make it the 60 feet across the road.
Screens appeared in front of her.
